Cindy-Lee Minnaar, Indika Communications’ Co-Founder and Director, is a seasoned communications specialist with 15 years’ experience.
Her personal values, in no particular order of importance, include authenticity, humour, autonomy, personal growth, kindness, efficiency, community and integrity.
Cindy-Lee is a passionate individual. She is passionate about communicating effectively, providing excellent service and fresh ideas, making meaningful connections, adding value wherever she goes, developing others and building her community, to name but a few things.
Having worked across an array of industries in varying communications roles, Cindy-Lee has mastered the art of communicating at all levels.
She is a master organiser who gets stuff done and self-starter who develops and implements communications strategies aligned to company objectives. She strives to use the knowledge, experience, networks and resources acquired throughout her career for mass impact.
Cindy-Lee cut her teeth at ITWeb between 2003 and 2007, where she worked her way up to the role of Group Production Manager across the publishing house’s print publications.
She further honed her communications skills as Momentum Health’s Public Relations Manager for eight years — a role that saw her manage the company’s internal and external reputation as well as media contributions.
In January 2016, Cindy-Lee joined the fast-paced agency world. She kicked off this new chapter as an Account Director at Idea Engineers, where she oversaw client deliverables as part of her key responsibilities.
Following her four-year tenure with Idea Engineers, she joined KVD Communications as an Account Director before taking the entrepreneurial leap in late 2020. Entrepreneurship, for Cindy-Lee, is about taking full ownership of her time, values, overall wellness and earning potential.
Cindy-Lee believes that effective communication is the key to unlocking sustainability in the small business sector. Through Indika Communications’ tailored communications offerings, her goal is to add great value in this arena thus helping small businesses grow into self-sustaining entities.
Cindy-Lee is also the Marketing and Communications Manager of Afri-CAN EduFund. The initiative is aimed at improving the lives of previously disadvantaged children through providing bursaries and access to entrepreneurial, sports and employment opportunities.
Outside of work, Cindy-Lee is a doting mom, an avid hiker and amateur soccer player.
